This unit is a highly automated, well-designed dedicated mixing system for recycled and virgin materials, specifically engineered for plastic sheet (or other applicable granular material) production lines. 1. ntelligent Level Management:
The top of the unit houses separate recycled material hoppers and virgin material hoppers.
Each hopper is equipped with high-precision upper and lower level sensors for real-time material level monitoring.
Upper Level Sensor: Detects a full hopper, triggering a signal to stop feeding (typically linked to upstream supply equipment or an alarm).
Lower Level Sensor: Detects an empty hopper, triggering screw stoppage or an alarm, ensuring the equipment operates within safe material levels and preventing damage from dry running.
This design guarantees the entire mixing and feeding process operates under fully automated closed-loop control, eliminating the need for manual level management.
2. Precision Twin-Screw Metering Feed:
Recycled material and virgin material are precisely metered and conveyed via two independent DN245 screws.
Independent Control: The two screws are driven by independent variable frequency drive (VFD) motors, enabling completely independent start/stop and speed adjustment.
Infinite Speed Control: By adjusting the VFDs, the rotational speed of each screw can be precisely and infinitely set.
High Adaptability: The VFD speed control allows the equipment to easily adapt to different mixing rate requirements maintaining accurate proportioning whether running at high or low speeds.
3. Efficient Mixing & Conveying:
Precisely metered recycled and virgin materials from their respective screws are fed simultaneously or according to a set sequence into the intermediate mixing barrel (mixing chamber) below.
The mixing barrel typically incorporates an efficient mixing mechanism (such as paddles, ribbons, etc.) to vigorously and thoroughly mix the incoming materials, ensuring the recycled and virgin materials achieve a highly uniform distribution at the microscopic level.
The thoroughly mixed material is then conveyed stably and rapidly to the downstream main sheet extruder hopper by a high-pressure centrifugal fan generating an air stream through a sealed conveying pipeline. This pneumatic conveying method is efficient, clean, and helps prevent material segregation during transport.
